Métodos computacionales para la modelización de procesos físicos

La investigación sobre los métodos de cálculo es un campo emergente que abarca un amplio espectro de disciplinas científicas, como pueden ser la Matemática Computacional, la Física Computacional, la Biología Cuantitativa y la Mecánica computacional, entre otras. Las preguntas fundamentales que se plantean en estos campos nos llevan a la búsqueda de nuevos algoritmos, estructuras y métodos que permitan comprender y simular la realidad física que nos rodea. La interacción entre la computación científica y el resto de disciplinas constituye el nexo central de nuestra investigación.
