I have a research output of 78 items: (72 international JCR publications, 4 book chapters and 2 international non-JCR publications). From all scientific JCR publications (72), 35 articles (49%) are ranked within the first quartile (Q1) of the specific JCR research area in Veterinary Sciences and Reproductive Biology. I am the first (leading) author in 29 publications (40%) and the author for correspondence in 59 (82%) of all publication. The JCR publications have an H-index=19. I have written 4 book chapters and participated in over 50 international congresses with plenary lectures and oral communications on my main research area (Equine Reproduction). Many of these publications have been the result of international collaborations in which I have led the investigations (corresponding author) as evidenced by the different co-authors and affiliations involved in the publications from different countries (Argentina, USA, Finland, Australia, The Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom and Brazil) as a result of my international training (MSc and PhD), work and research placements during my professional career.

Furthermore, they have been the result of projects aimed to improve the basic science in equine reproduction and the efficiency of breeding techniques directly applied to clinical equine reproductive medicine. They had a relevant international impact on the field of equine reproduction as evidenced by the numerous invitations to plenary lectures in international scientific congresses and professional veterinary associations meetings to communicate the obtained results.  

These international trajectory on applied clinical research has led to the development of research and commercial contracts with private companies for consulting services, transfer of results and/or clinical training on specific assisted reproductive techniques in horse breeding in Europe, South America and Australia.

I have supervised two PhD students (both PhD thesis being finalized with a research output of 3 and 4 JCR publications, respectively, and presented as compendium of publications) and two Master's projects. All my students have continued their professional career in academia and private sectors in areas related to their training with me.

I am a recognized European and British specialist in Equine reproduction (European Diplomate in Animal Reproduction ECAR, and RCVS CertVRep).  I am ANECA accredited as "profesor contratado doctor". I have two "sexenios de investigación", with the last period between 2013-2018.
