Assistential trajectory:   

My professional career began at the University of Murcia and Siena (Italy) where I obtained my degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2011. After specialising in gynaecology and obstetrics at the University Hospital of Getafe from 2012-2016, I obtained a sub-specialisation in gynaecological oncology through an ESGO-accredited training programme at the University and Polytechnic Hospital La Fe in Valencia (2017-2019). Since then I have been working at the Hospital Universitario y politécnico La Fe de Valencia in the gynaecological oncology unit, I am an accredited researcher at the Instituto de investigación Sanitaria La Fe.  

I am sub-specialised in ovarian cancer surgery, endometrial cancer, cervical and vulvar cancer, both laparoscopic and laparotomic.  

Research career:    

Currently my h index is 10, with 40 articles published in Q1 and Q2. Total citations: 358 (4/4/2022). My current lines of research are the sentinel node technique in early ovarian cancer and colorectal resection, derivative techniques and anastomosis leakage prediction in advanced ovarian cancer. With regard to translational research, I am leading two lines of diagnostic tests based on liquid biopsy in uterine leiomyosarcoma and ovarian cancer 

I have conducted and completed as PI 2 independent clinical trials (PMDI: 29506014 and 32448808) and collaborated as co-IP in another three independent clinical trials (NCT03085238, NCT03131492 and NCT04214457). I have also coordinated more than 5 published multicenter clinical studies.
